Kristina Lao (any pronouns) believes in proactively investing in the next generation of creatives, on an individual and community-wide scale. Working across music, screen, and creative entrepreneurship, she is committed to building sustainable, equitable career pathways in media and entertainment.

Concurrent to her own performance-based career, Kristina works with select clients around Vancouver, specialising in workshops, speaking engagements, panel development and moderation centred on the Entertainment Industry. Combining her International Business degree with her multi-disciplinary performing arts training, Kristina is a go-to for creative industry insights and relationship building. She has produced multi-day and multi-disciplinary festivals, curated countless industry gatherings, and collaborated on a variety of creative sector-building initiatives in BC for clients including VIFF, VAFF, Elimin8Hate,The City of Vancouver, re:Naissance Opera and more. Kristina prioritises work that elevates underrepresented voices, and contributes to a more connected, creative community in BC.

Kristina’s broader advocacy work has included workshops, panels, and mentorship with organizations such as re:Naissance Opera, Full Circle First Nations, Live Acts Canada, Creative BC, and Music BC, where she served on the Board of Directors.

Kristina’s skill-based coaching work focuses on individualised training with select organisations. She is a Music BC Jumpstart consultant (free for BC-based Music Industry Professionals). She is an acting coach at Sonder Acting Studio, with clients work on film & TV projects including Allegiance (CTV), The Audacity (AMC+), Legally Blonde (Amazon Prime), The Jealous Type (Lifetime), Watson (Paramount Plus) and more.
